Polish Society of Electroacoustic Music (PSeME) part of the International Society for Electrouacoustic Music (ISEM/CIME) in Bourges kk

7 May 2005 at the Academy of Music in Kraków the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music (PseME) was established. The organization is a member of International Confederation of Electoracoustic Music in Bourges (CIME). PSeME was founded by 16 significant figures of Polish electroacoustic music, initiators and directors of the main centres for electroacoustic music in Poland: Experimental Studio of Polish Radio, academic studios from Kraków, Warsaw, Wrocław, Łódź, Poznań, Gdańsk and Katowice: Andrzej Bauer, Marek Chołoniewski, Piotr Kleczkowski, Krzysztof Knittel, Włodzimierz Kotoński, Stanisław Krupowicz, Jarosław Mamczarski, Józef Patkowski, Mariusz Pędziałek, Bogusław Schaeffer, Elżbieta Sikora, Krzysztof Szlifirski, Maciej Szybist, Marcin Wierzbicki, Lidia Zielińska, Marek Zwyrzykowski. The first General Assembly choose Main Board: Marek Chołoniewski - President, Elżbieta Sikora - Wicepresident, Lidia Zielińska - Secretary, Marcin Wierzbicki - Treasurer, as well as Board of Control: Krzysztof Szlifirski - President, Stanisław Krupowicz - Wicepresident, Marek Zwyrzykowski - Secretary.

The program of the Introductory Concert on May 7 2005 at the Bunkier Sztuki City Gallery included compositions of the founders of the society: M.Chołoniewski, K.Knittel, W.Kotoński, S.Krupowicz, E.Sikora, B.Schaeffer, M.Wierzbicki, L.Zielińska and F.Barriere - founder of the institut for electroacoustic music imeb in Bourges, as well as secretary of CIME. The concert was performed by Anna Zielińska - violin, Mariusz Pędziałek - oboe, Paweł Gusnar - alt saksophon, Mateusz Bień and composers - sound diffusion.

The main goal of the Polish Society of Electroacoustic Music is promotion of Polish electroacoustic art (electronic music, video art, interactive sound installation, audiovisual art) abroad, inside the network of festivals, concert series and all other electroacouistic art projects coordinated by the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (CIME) in Bourges (supported by UNESCO). Polish Society of Electroacoustic Music organizes electronic music of the second half of the XX century and the most modern and advanced forms.

The Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music was initiated by Józef Patkowski, Ryszard Szeremeta, Elżbieta Sikora, Krzysztof Szlifirski and Marek Chołoniewski.

Currently organization has more than 80 members.
